It’s been a little while since my last column and we have started to find our form. The guys have been working hard and playing for each other; we have had contributions from all lines which is fantastic to see.

Recent results have been good, especially Peterborough away in our last game on 4th December. Short benched, and with illness through the team, I cannot fault the effort and desire to work as hard as they did to get those massive two points.

We have a tough second half of the season as we meet teams from what was the west conference. These games will be big tests and the character and togetherness we have in the room will be key.

However, we start the new year with a huge Wilkinson Cup semi-final against Cardiff Fire. These games will be a great test for us. We will need to be firing on all cylinders and focus for the full sixty minutes on both days. We have a great mix of skill, speed and grit in this team, and a desire to win any silverware on offer this season.

Finally, I would like to wish our amazing fans a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope to see you against Cardiff and for the Palace to be as busy and loud as always.

Stay safe,

Coach Samps
