Ryan McFarlane will remain part of the Huskies defence as he signs up for the 2022/23 season.

With the Huskies finishing as runners-up in all three competitions, Mac feels there is unfinished business, telling us: “Finishing second in everything was very frustrating last season and this time we need to go one better. I am looking forward to getting the season started and bringing more trophies to the club”.

Ryan re-joined the club in January after a stint back in Scotland and soon settled into the line-up. He originally joined the club for the latter half of the 2018/19 season and became a key member of the title winning team in 2019/20. He also played a couple of games in the 2021 Spring Cup lockdown series.

Head coach Dan Sampson commented: “Ryan is another key returnee for us and is a big part of our D-core. He has a very good output, always looking to keep the team on the offensive, while also being a very accomplished defender.

“He drives the play forward, is calm on the puck, and is a steady, calming influence at the back. He is a big part of our dressing room and a favourite with the fans. I am very happy he has agreed to return”

Look out for our 2022/23 ‘Own and Loan’ scheme – coming soon.
