Utility player Tom Avery is back in Haringey Huskies colours for another season.

Tom originally signed for the club in January 2020 following a short break from the game. He had previously played for Bracknell, Oxford, Slough, and Chelmsford and brings a lot of hockey experience from higher divisions. Last season he showed his versatility, playing mostly as a forward and notching up 10 goals and 11 assists in 18 games.

Head coach Dan Sampson told us: “It’s great to have Tom back this season. He is a skilful hockey player, has a good hockey IQ with an eye for a pass and can play both ends of the ice.

“We moved Tom forward during last season, and he didn’t disappoint. Tom has played at a good level and has the desire to keep raising his game but ultimately, he has the hunger to win. He will be another key player as we hunt silverware this season.”

Tom added: “I’m looking forward to a new season in front of the fans at Alexandra Palace. We have a great bunch of lads and we have enjoyed being back on the ice these last couple of weeks. We will see you all in September.”
