From a young kid watching in the stands to a Haringey Huskies player, we are delighted to announce the signing of defender Cameron Pow, on a 2-way arrangement with the Haringey Hounds junior club.
Cameron recalls those days watching as a 7-year-old, telling us:
“The first ice hockey game I saw was Haringey Racers in 2015 at Ally Pally. I was hooked and decided there and then that I wanted to play. I attended ice skating lessons and have been a member of Haringey Junior Ice Hockey Club since 2016.”
Cameron plays for the under-18s Hounds team that won the South Division 1 title last season. He also represented the Huskies a few times last year, most notably in December when a desperately short-benched Huskies side played an away cup game at the Invicta Mustangs, taking a few junior players along to help us out. He was one of only 5 defenders on the rotation that night and played an assured game against an experienced, physical Mustangs side, showing maturity beyond his years.
This upcoming season marks a significant step forward for Cameron’s development and he can’t wait to get started:
“I am looking forward to stepping out on the ice as a rostered Huskies player at the Palace. Our supporters create such a great atmosphere. I hope that maybe some other 7-year-old watching a game at the Palace is inspired to start playing.”
Look out for our 2025/26 Own & Loan scheme launching soon.
