BIG BRAD RETAINED

Haringey Huskies are delighted to announce the signing of defender Bradley Taylor, who will be staying with us for the 2023/24 season.

Head coach Dan Sampson told us: “With the plans we have in place, getting Brad to return was a key piece. He has a big shot, can carry the puck well and is a big body.

“Still being young I expect him to log more minutes this season and be a key part of our special teams. Always wanting to improve and better himself will again be key to his continued growth. He is another player that will benefit from working with Pete.”

Bradley commented: “To be back at the Palace is an honour. When I had the opportunity to return to the Huskies it was a decision I didn’t even have to think about. Last season was a great year and we all know that it didn’t end how we all wanted it to, but this year is another chance to get out hands on silverware.

“It’s great to see some familiar faces return and already a few new faces joining the pack, especially from the junior system. I think this is brilliant; I was in that position not too long ago, looking for a route into senior hockey, so for a Hound to become a Huskie is amazing.

“Pulling on that shirt and playing for the badge on the front of the jersey is an absolute pleasure especially in front of the best fans in the league. The fans get the Palace rocking week in week out and you would be stupid to turn down an opportunity to play in front of a crowd of Huskies fans.

“With the team that is being built for this year I believe that we have what it takes to win. I cannot wait to get back on the ice and do what I can to help the team get across the line.

“Huge thank you to Shinnyicehockey.co.uk for agreeing to sponsor me again this year. They were brilliant last year; they are a great company and are so much help throughout the season making sure I am ready to play every week.

“I have to thank the management at the Huskies for believing in me and for offering me another spot on the roster this year.
