Your Haringey Huskies are delighted to announce that defender Matt France has re-signed for the club with a new, expanded role.

Matt is staying with the club as player-coach. Our coaching team for the 2025/26 season is as follows:

Dan Sampson and Lee Mercer will remain in place with an overseeing brief, while Matt France, Stuart Appleby and James Pentecost all step up into player-coach roles.

Matt told us:

“I’m excited to be head coach alongside Stu this season. Last season was disappointing by the club’s standard, not making a final appearance in any competition and finishing third in the league.

“Between myself, Stu, Pents, Mercer and Samps, we have been putting together a team this off-season that is more competitive and, as a result, we have put the club in a better position to compete for the trophies both the fans and the players deserve.

“As I’m sure you will agree, the team has some exciting new signings. We are also putting our trust in a number of junior players who have impressed us during this off season and are in the team on merit.

“We can’t wait to see all of you this coming weekend, back in the rink supporting the team as you always do, making the Palace an exciting place to play.”
