Your Haringey Huskies are delighted to retain import forward Matthew Ganas for the 2025/26 season at Alexandra Palace.

Matthew joined the Huskies last season in January, having made the switch from London rivals Lee Valley Lions.

Born and raised in Toronto, Matthew played AAA junior hockey until the age of 16. He was then selected in the 2003 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) priority draft by the Barrie Colts, going on to play four seasons in the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League (OPJHL).

Since relocating to the UK and returning to competitive hockey, Matthew has quickly established himself as a reliable veteran forward whose two-season NIHL2 stint has featured consistent high-end scoring.

With 50 points in 33 games and standout performances for both Lee Valley and Haringey, he remains a key offensive force in the league. His disciplined, goal-oriented play underlines his value as both a leader and contributor on the ice.
