Your Haringey Huskies are absolutely delighted to have acquired Josh Ealey-Newman for the 2025/26 season.
Fans of Haringey hockey with long memories will recall a then 17-year-old Josh playing for the Racers in the 2015/16 season, putting up a ridiculous 63 points in 26 games.
Since then, Josh has mostly been playing in NIHL1 for Oxford and Bracknell, including a season in the National Division with the Bees, before spending the last four seasons picking up lots of trophies with Streatham.
Josh told us:
“I’m excited to be joining the Huskies. After talking to Mercer and hearing the plans for this season and for the future, it made my decision easy.
“I can’t wait be playing back at Ally Pally in front of the fans and contributing to getting some silverware.
“Have a great summer, Huskies fans!”
General manager Lee Mercer added:
“I’m absolutely thrilled that Josh is joining the Huskies. His skill, speed, and energy on the ice are exactly what the team needs.
“I’m sure he’ll be a fan favourite in no time; this is a huge addition and a big moment for the club in its growth.”
