Experienced defender Ryan McFarlane is staying with your Haringey Huskies for the 2023/24 season.
Since signing for the club in January 2019, the blue-liner has made 74 Huskies appearances, scoring 5 goals and 50 assists. The much-travelled Scot has also represented Dundee Tigers, Edinburgh Capitals, Solent Devils, Wightlink Tigers, Bristol Pitbulls, Oxford City Stars, Manchester Phoenix and Paisley Pirates over the years.
Head coach Dan Sampson sees Ryan as a key returnee in Huskies defence, telling us: “Mac is a smooth skater, calm on the puck, plays smart and likes to join the rush whilst having an eye for a pass.
“He is solid in his own zone and is always pushing the team to be the best we can be. He will be a key part of the D core this season and will also be key in helping the younger defenders we have.”
Ryan added:” I am delighted to be back to help the team push on to win some more trophies.
“I’m hoping to put a difficult season with injuries behind me and start fresh this year. Pre-season is slipping away and after a disappointing end to last season, we are all working hard to start the season strong.”
Look out for our 2023/24 ‘Own and Loan’ scheme – coming soon.
