Your Haringey Huskies are delighted to announce the signing of long-serving defender Bryn Griffiths for the 2024/25 season.
Bryn has been with the Huskies since the team was formed in 2017 and has played 133 games for the club.
Bryn reflects on his signing, telling us:
“Three’s the magic number, good things come in threes, third time lucky… well maybe not. If you have been following the club over the last three years of playoff finals you’ll know what I’m getting at. However, hopefully it’s been long enough for everyone to dust themselves down, finishing licking any wounds, and start feeling ready to gear up for the new season.
“There’s lots of change and development to be excited about this year, with the launch of the Women’s team, The Greyhounds, as well as a change of coaching, but one thing that I’m confident won’t have changed is the amazing supporters who turn out week in week out, home or away to help give us that extra bit of energy when it gets tough – the second leg of the quarter final in Invicta comes to mind!
“It’s for those moments that we all play for, and those memories that stay with you, and I’m pretty sure they’ll be more moments like this to look forward to this year. So, I’m excited to (after a little more fitness work over the off season!) get stuck into the next Huskies title campaign.
Head coach Peter Taylor added:
“Bryn is a great team player and I’m really pleased for him to be back again this season. His size and strength make things difficult for opposition forwards around our net and he has a cannon of a shot.”
To buy one of Bryn’s jerseys, look out for our 2024/25 ‘Own and Loan’ scheme later in the off-season.
