Today your Haringey Huskies are delighted to welcome James Pentecost back to the club.
James is currently recovering from surgery so won’t be stepping into the line-up right away, however he will still have a role in the team. General manager Lee Mercer explains the situation:
“Firstly, we’re really excited to welcome James Pentecost back to Alexandra Palace and the Huskies.
“Pents is a player I’ve always admired, and it’s great to have him return to the team. He’ll bring real strength and depth to the squad.
“While he’s recovering from surgery, he’ll be joining the coaching staff — and once he’s cleared to play, he’ll step into a player-coach role.
“Welcome back, Pents!”
James was a key part of the 2019/20 Huskies team that won the NIHL2 Wilkinson East division, putting up an amazing 63 points in 26 games.
He continued with the team through the following season’s games during the covid lockdown, adding 16 points from 13 games against some high calibre opposition.
After a gap of a few seasons, James is pleased to be back, telling us:
“This is a great club to be a part of.
“Since moving away in 2021, Lee and I have often spoken about the opportunity of one day coming back, and this summer things lined up to make it happen.
“I was fortunate enough to come here before and win silverware, I’m hoping to be part of that again.”
